David Bowie – The 1980 Floor Show

The Archives label has just announced their own release of David Bowie’s, ‘1980 Floor Show’.

Following Ziggy Stardust’s retirement, David was moving on to sowing the seeds for ‘Aladdin Sane’, the next character in his arsenal, though this would be the final word on the alien child. The “Pin Ups” album already recorded, David put together his own “Rock N’ Roll Circus’ and invited Marianne Faithful and The Troggs to come play with him. This DVD is taken from the NBC broadcast (Though more of these rehearsals exist on various other bootlegs presumably making up the alternate version also on this disk).

The CD features a ‘Mutitrack Stereo Remaster from Original Soundtrack’ – Essentially an audio mirror image of the DVD’s main attraction.
