Following their release of a couple of weeks ago of ‘Analogue Record Masters’, 4 needle-drops of audiophile quality ‘Sgt. Pepper’ LPs, the DAP label have now announced ‘Analogue Tape Reel Masters’. A two CD set of four versions of the Beatles 1967 LP taken from four tape variants –

- US Capitol 8-track stereo 8 track cartridge 8XT2653
- UK Parlophone 4 track Stereo reel tape TD-PCS7027
- UK EMI 8 track Stereo cartridge tape 8X-PCS7027
Interestingly enough, there should be enough material here for the deep dive fans and something to mine for a while, though these tapes were all in stereo – Will there be a mono version to come?
