Two New Golden Eggs Coming!

Liam Gallagher – The Right One (EGG 174) is a single disc recorded at Teenage Cancer Trust, Royal Albert Hall, London, UK on March 26th, 2022. This features an excellent audience recording including the live debut of “C’Mon You Know”.

David Bowie and Ava Cherry – Once We Were Lovers – The Olympic And Sigma Sessions (EGG 175) is a single disc featuring studio tapes from 1974. Best described by the label: “Once We Were Lovers holds a superb selection of quality studio tracks. From August to November of 1974, Bowie recorded part of his ninth studio album, Young Americans, at Philadelphia’s Sigma Sound Studios. But only one tape from the sessions remained in the studio’s archive when its 6,200 master tapes were donated to Drexel in 2005 after the Sigma Studio closed down. The tape became part of the Sigma Sound Studios Collection in the Drexel University Audio Archives, housed in the basement of University Crossings. David Bowie discovered another series of tapes on Ebay and arranged for the sender to give them to him. But first they were sent to Toby Seay, project director of the Audio Archives, to be digitized, since he had previously sent Bowie the digital copies of the fourth reel. In exchange, Drexel kept digital copies of the newly discovered reels. Some of these archive recordings can now be found on this CD together with some rare Ava Cherry material recorded prior to the Young Americans sessions that are out for the first time on CD.”
