New releases from Eric Clapton, Black Sabbath, & Whitesnake!

Eric Clapton – Budokan 2019 1st Night (Tricone 181/182) is a 2CD set from Budokan, Tokyo, Japan on April 13th, 2019.

Black Sabbath – Definitive Montreux 1970 (Zodiac 337) is a single disc stereo soundboard from Montreux Casino, Montreux, Switzerland on August 31st, 1970. Zodiac previously issued this about four years ago as Definitive Montreux 1970 (Zodiac 116) with a different cover.

Black Sabbath – Definitive Hartford 1980 (Zodiac 335) is a 2CD stereo soundboard from the Hartford Civic Arena, Hartford, CT on August 10th, 1980. This contains bonus material from “US Tour in August 1980 (from Cozy Tape)” and “Children Of The Sea” from Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK on May 8th, 1980. The Hartford concert was previously released as Children Of The Black: Definitive Edition (Zodiac 011) including the Hammersmith track.

Black Sabbath – The Legendary Masters 1983 (Zodiac 336) is a 2CD set featuring demos and a live concert from the Ian Gillan era. Disc one is titled “The Manor Tape Demos” and contains Born Again Unmixed Demos recorded at the Manor Studio 1983. Disc two is titled “Captured Live Pre-FM Master” and features a stereo soundboard from The Centrum, Worcester, MA on November 4th, 1983.

Whitesnake – Box ‘O’ Snakes: The Test Master (no label) is a 2CD + DVD. Disc one is a stereo soundboard from the Reading Festival, England on August 26th, 1979 and disc two is a stereo soundboard from the Reading Festival, England on August 24th, 1980. The Dual Layer DVD features Promo Videos 1978-1982, Old Grey Whistle Test, Top Of The Pops, and a concert from The Capital Center, Landover, MD on October 5th, 1980.

Whitesnake – Super Rock ’84 In Japan: Seibu Stadium (no label) is a pro-shot 3DVD set from Seibu Stadium, Saitama, Japan on August 11th & 12th, 1984. Disc 1 is from August 11th, 1984 and is taken from the original PAL Beta Video Tape (Sony L-750) which belonged to Cozy Powell and Disc 2 features August 12th, 1984. Disc 3 is taken from the original Japanese Laser Disc Super Rock ’84 In Japan (78C58-6092) and contains a slightly edited version of Seibu Stadium, Saitama, Japan from August 11th, 1984. This looks like a re-release of Super Rock ’84 In Japan: 30th Anniversary Edition from 2014 with a new cover.

  1. True! Check out new Floyd & Sabbath on Golden Eggs. Both are very interesting titles. Floyd is unreleased to silver show and Sabbath is a huge upgrade of what was released on CDR many years ago on Japanese label Power Gate. I have heard samples and can definitely recommend both sets.   2. I almost got excited for a minute when I saw Black Sabbath on the new releases, no need to as Zodiac releases three needless titles of concerts that have been bootlegged to death, the Montreux has even been officially released on the Paranoid 4 disc deluxe set.

    • Yes, agreed! Too bad they trying to scalp us again with titles largely released in a past not so that far away.
